Travis Hosein, known to the world as Travis World, is a Trinidadian DJ and producer who has become one of the defining architects of modern soca. He broke in early and never looked back. At just 15 years old he landed on air at Slam 100.5FM, one of the youngest radio DJs in Trinidad & Tobago. By 16 he was producing his own records, and the sound he was building would go on to shape Carnival itself.

His breakthrough came in 2018, when he produced “Soca Kingdom” for the legendary Superblue and Machel Montano. The track captured the 2018 Road March, the highest honor of Trinidad Carnival, and launched Travis World into national fame. His production credits now read like a who’s who of Caribbean music, with work alongside Machel Montano, Superblue, Lyrikal, Nessa Preppy, Konshens, and Skinny Fabulous.

His ambition has always reached past the islands. In 2019 he produced “The Road,” pairing Machel Montano with Grammy Award winning singer Ashanti. It was a statement of intent from an artist who cites Major Lazer and DJ Khaled as blueprints for taking Caribbean music global. His recent Double Trouble Riddim brought together a powerhouse lineup including Busy Signal, Konshens, and Skinny Fabulous, proof that he’s still setting the pace for the genre.

From the radio booth in Port of Spain to riddims that move crowds worldwide, Travis World is doing exactly what he set out to do. Take soca global, and bring the Caribbean with it.
